The scope of this autobiography covers highlights of the author's eventful life but not his most personal adult family connections. In particular, it is aimed at those young people who are starting out in adulthood when the pressures of life seem insurmountable. IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED TRY TRY AGAIN. This quotation is not from the poet Rudyard Kipling, but his famous poem 'IF' covers many of the tribulations subjected to by the author beginning with the first verse which covers his experience in the family company under the chapter headed "Clogs to Clogs in three generations". The second verse covers the experience of starting a new independent business with all its 'ups and downs' and the third verse the trauma created by the actions of third parties in an established project which was about to fulfil an early retirements. Finally, the last verse reminds the author that after more than 35 years as a member of the Jaguar Drivers' Club which was founded in 1956 initially to promote motor sport and which at the time of writing has no involvement in motor racing which is why I am also a member of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club because they have taken over the promotion of Jaguar club motorsport.
