If you have any interest in Jaguar and its racing history then this is the best written and most informative book this decade. Written by the man who was not only at TWR throughout the period covered but was the engineer who developed the car.
Covering TWR's analysis of the Broadspeed XJ12C and the design of the Group A car from the early 1980s. A great mix of information on the cars and the people and designs that made it possible. Superb selection of photos, many behind the scenes photos and close up detail of the cars.
When so many Jaguar books are a rehash of old Jaguar press photos or arty studio shots written by lazy journalists or Jaguar historians scrapping the bottom of the archive barrel for any new material this is something fresh and interesting.
Simply brilliant and well worth the cover price.

Allan Scotts seniority within the team is reflected in his detailed accounts of the development and politics behind the scenes. Some brilliant previously unseen photos, especially of the early development car. The technical aspects are written so that a non engineer can understand and some interesting historical points on the individual chasis. A must for any Jaguar racing fan!
