Oxford – a speedway success story, by multi award-winning author, Ian Wagstaff, documents the remarkable story of the return of the sport to Oxford. When all appeared lost, a determined group of mainly volunteers refused to let their team vanish for good, and set about the mammoth task of bringing the derelict Oxford Stadium back to life. Spearheading the efforts were Jamie Courtney and Peter Schroek, who worked tirelessly to construct a team from scratch while overseeing the stadium refurbishment.
