The author traces the history of the Portello in Milan through a collection of photographs for effect, made in the 90's.
The protagonists are ruined factories, abandoned furniture and documents, prototypes and motors forgotten.
It is an unusual book, with an unusual title: "Door .... in memory" would be more descriptive.
It has also been described as a book rather sad, in that it depicts the door, the Alfa Romeo factory in Milan, from the first day until the last few years, such as derelict factory, the trees that grow in the roads, etc..
The whole area of the door has now been demolished and removed, but this book remains as a testament of the pre-war period until the post-war pre-Arese.
While it may not be called a book that should be in the library of every Alfista, the many photos in black and white when the door was key, as opposed to recent color photos of abandoned and quiet, making it attractive addition the library of the Alfa Romeo fond of the years 50 and 60.
This book was written and published privately by David de Bertolis and then in a limited edition.
