Despite the high quality entry no-one was able to usurp Cairoli’s MX1 crown, although they certainly gave it everything in the attempt to unseat the reigning king of MX.

If Cairoli is the king then Jeffery Herlings must surely rank as a Prince - but he hadn't reckoned on the young pretender being in his own team!

Jordi Tixier didn't need to be asked twice when Herlings broke a leg outside of competition - the race for the title was back on.
