One of the World's truly great sporting events, the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans attracts the best and brightest of drivers, and some of the biggest players in the global car market.

Every year they flock to the Circuit de la Sarthe to pit themselves and their cars against the unrelenting course for 24 Hours. As much as winning the Indy 500 or the Monaco Grand Prix, a win at Le Mans is a highpoint in any career to equal a gold medal at the Olympics.

Who will take the laurels and spray the champagne (a tradition invented at Le Mans, incidentally) in 2016? The last two years have been dominated by the revitalised Porsche team and their compatriots.

For most of this century Audi seem to have established a fortress on the top step of the Le Mans podium, taking thirteen wins and establishing a run of four wins in a row.

There was only so long the Stuttgart rivals would allow Audi such a reign and it was with great anticipation fans flocked to Le Mans in 2014 to see Porsche, for so long the Circuit's sleeping giant, return to the fray.

It took until 2015 for the hopes to be rewarded but now the scene is set for a thrilling showdown to the kings and the would be usurpers to the title of 'Most all-time Le Mans Wins'. The score currently stands at  Porsche 17 : Audi 13 -  how will it stand after this year's event?

Well, if Toyota have anything to say about it there will (finally) be another Japanese manufacturer's name on the trophy. Since Mazda won with the rotary-engined 787B way back at the end of the Group C era, no other Japanese car has managed to conquer the overall win at Le Mans. Will the TS050 finally break Toyota's long-running hoodoo? Fingers crossed.

There's excitement outside of the top-flight LMP1 class with the return of Ford to Le Mans with the all-new Ford GT running under the Chip Ganassi Racing banner.

For all the excellent highlights of twenty-four incredible hours of racing, including Radio Le Mans race commentary, the Official Review of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is an irreplaceable memento.

As well as extensive trackside camera coverage, improving in-car camera technology allows every more detailed an exciting footage of the hard work the drivers are putting in lap-after-lap to remain competitive, even in the middle of the night or during pouring rain - or frequently both!

Four hours of sensational footage will still leave you gasping for more!
