The story of McLaren's 1995 triumph at Le Mans, with the No.59 car run by Lanzante Motorsport, is one of the most iconic victories in the history of La Sarthe. While the win of chassis 01R is widely known, the photographs that captured its journey to glory have remained largely unseen - until now.
This book, limited to only 300 copies, presents a rare and intimate perspective through the lens of photographer Mikio Hasui. As the brother-in-law of winning driver Masanori Sekiya, Mikio was granted extraordinary access to the heart of the team. Shooting exclusively on black-and-white film with his Leica and Canon cameras, he documented the quiet moments in the garage, the focus of the drivers, and the intensity ofrace day like no one else.
