This is the first volume of the saga of Martini racing cars. Volume 1 covers the period from 1967, the date of the construction of the very first Martini until 1973 with René Arnoux. Between these dates, Tico Martini made his "small company" the first French manufacturer of single-seaters.

This book tells the story of the problems and sorrows of this period but focuses on the joys that accompanied these first seven years. The first victories, the first dramas, but also the close relationship with the ambitious drivers in a period that saw the birth of their professionalism along with the teams backed by powerful sponsors. It also contains a summary of all the races of this period.
