"The Jaguar Scrapbook" is a carefully researched and stunningly designed work that charts the history of Jaguar Cars from its inception in 1922 as the Swallow Sidecar Company to the high performance marques of the present day. The book skilfully presents an eclectic mix of historical narrative, personal interviews, big Jaguar names and original source material - including styling drawings, period memos, contemporary photos and news cuttings to provide an evocative insight into the story behind one of the World's most iconic car manufacturers. To produce the work the author, Philip Porter, a life-long Jaguar enthusiast, has scoured his extensive personal archives which contain many unique and previously unpublished Jaguar documents for new information. This approach means that while being accessible to newcomers to the subject the work contains enough unseen material to warrant the attention of diehard Jaguar enthusiasts.
